DUI Videos: Over the legal limit

When people come to me sometimes, they feel that there’s no way out of it. That they feel that they’re guilty, that nothing can be done for them and that is the end of the matter. However, I want to encourage you that although you feel that way and also you know I respect it when people come to me and except personal responsibility for their actions in that way. It is possible to avoid convictions even when the evidence points to your guilt and that can be done legitimately through the court process.

For example, recently I had a client who was a Marine. He was arrested in circumstances where there was a traffic accident and his uncle was in the car, his uncle was injured. He had a breath alcohol level of .14 and he was charged with a felony because of the accident and the injuries to his uncle. Through our efforts, through our investigation in that case and through our efforts in presenting to the court information about that marine and his career, that case was reduced down to two traffic infractions. He had to pay a fine only, started off from a position of him having to serve state prison time for a felony DUI and it was reduced down to two infractions.
